As the paddlers took to the waters at this week’s time trial, they knew that their participation would land them a chance to win an exciting lucky draw.

1 month ago, Adam arrived in Johannesburg from Chile. With his partner paddling at the Dabulamanzi Canoe Club, he found himself as a regular in our canoe club at the Thursday Time Trial enjoying a cold one while the paddlers paddled their way through winter. With great appreciation for the hospitality received, Adam and Southern Hemisphere Mining Limited felt compelled to show their appreciation with a R10 000 lucky draw donation at a Dabs time trial.

All paddlers threw their names in a bucket before getting in a boat and with the completion of the 10 km time trial their entry was in the running for being drawn for a cash prize. Clinton, Siseko’s, Gunther’s and Piet’s names were drawn from the bucket where they then had to pull an envelope for either the R4000, R3000, R2000 or R1000 prize.

Southern Hemisphere Mining Limited is a successful copper-gold explorer in Chile, with a substantial copper resource, drilling to expand.

Llahuin is located within a very large mineralised system, noting the El Espino Copper/Gold Mine development 8km west, owned by Pucobre a large Chilean copper producer.

Adjacent to Llahuin is the company’s Colina2 Gold discovery, and in northern Chile the company has its Los Pumas Manganese EV Battery Project.
